Over $77,000 Raised for St. Catharines Bound Family

A GoFund Me page has raised more than $77,000 for a family, devastated by a fatal crash in Alberta.

They were driving cross country from Vancouver to Niagara, looking for a fresh start in St. Catharines.

But that trip came to a halt on Wednesday, when they their SUV was rear-ended by a transport truck about 300 kilometres east of Calgary.

A 10-year-old boy died the scene and two other kids were taken to hospital in serious condition.

The online fundraiser started four days ago and looks to raise $100,000 total.
