There are no reasonable grounds for criminal charges.
That comes from the SIU after an investigation into an arrest at a Niagara Falls hotel.
A 63-year-old man has serious injuries reportedly linked to his arrest in October 2017.
The SIU is clearing a Niagara Regional Police officer of any wrongdoing.
The police watchdog looks into event involving police when there is death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
