Niagara MPs Announce Federal Funding for Fruit and Grape Growers Research

The federal government will be investing over $476,000 to help improve fruit and grape quality and availability
A new research project led by the Ontario Fruit Growers and the Fresh Grape Growers looks to improve tender fruits.
They're going extend the growing season and storability for apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, and pears.
Researchers will also try to develop new tender fruit and fresh grape varieties.
Niagara Centre MP Vance Badawey and St. Catharines MP Chris Bittle made the big funding announcement yesterday, on behalf of Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau.
