Niagara IceDogs Day in Port Colborne

August 15, 2019

By: Marcie Culbert

For the first time in about 50 years, the City of Port Colborne will host a Major Junior Hockey Game.

The Niagara IceDogs will host the Barrie Colts in an exhibition matchup at the Vale Health and Wellness Centre on August 30th.

That day is now known as Niagara IceDogs Day, after Mayor Bill Steele signed a proclamation.

The doors will open at 6:00 p.m, warm up will get underway at 6:30 p.m. and puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The money raised from ticket sales will benefit the Port Colborne Wave Girl's Hockey Association.
