New Additions to Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm

Staff at Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm were in for quite the surprise Monday morning.

Texas the donkey gave birth earlier on. Her baby is a female and she has been given the name Astrid.

Officials say there were no issues with her birth and a veterinarian will be stopping by this week to check on her.

But Astrid is not the only new addition to the farm. Two baby goats were also born on Saturday.

Officials are also expecting another new arrival this summer. Nutmeg the donkey is also pregnant and she should give birth in the coming weeks.

Happy Rolph’s is located at 650 Read Road in St. Catharines. Members of the public can stop by and visit the animals from 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. each day until mid-October.
