Legal Pot Shop Now Open in Niagara Falls

Lots of people lined up in Niagara Square, for the grand opening of Choom Cannabis.

Mayor Jim Diodati cut the ribbon Saturday morning, for the first legal pot shop in Niagara Falls.

But this is the second legal cannabis store in the Niagara Region, the Niagara Herbalist opened on Lakeshore Road in St. Catharines on April 1st.

Choom Cannabis was supposed to open on Montrose Road in May, but construction lasted longer than expected.

More than 88,000 people live in the Honeymoon Capital and about 14 million tourists visit the city every year.
