Hydro One Investing $30 Million into Refurbishment of Port Colborne Transmission Station

Hydro One is investing approximately $30 million to advance the refurbishment of the Port Colborne Transmission Station.

During this time Hydro One will energize a second source of power to reduce power interruptions.

Hydro One Vice President Imran Merali said that a loss of power grinds life to a halt which is why Hydro One is taking immediate steps to build a stronger and safer electricity source in Port Colborne.

Once complete the refurbishment will provide a second source of power for Port Colborne providing long-term reliability.

The work is scheduled to be complete by 2020.
