Police say she drove from Hamilton to Grimsby, in Toronto bound lanes
A 54-year old Hamilton woman has been charged after driving in the wrong lanes on the QEW early this morning.
Police were alerted by drivers just before 3, of a car driving in the Toronto bound lanes from Nikola Tesla Blvd in Hamilton, but heading Niagara bound.
An officer, driving in the Niagara bound lanes, caught up to the car near Christie Street in Grimsby, was able to get the driver to turn around.
Police say a 2nd officer stopped the car near Casablanca Blvd.
Carolann Tost has been charged with:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
- Drive Motor Vehicle - No Licence
- Novice Driver - B.A.C. Above Zero
She was released from custody with a March court date.
