Shoppers looking for unique items will have a chance to shop local.
Good news for St. Catharines residents wishing to support local this holiday season.
Winter at the Market is returning as an in-person event.
Starting this week, guests can head over to Market Square every Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and purchase items such as fine preserves, local wines, and handmade items like jewelry, home decor, toys, beauty products and more.
"Anyone looking for unique handmade and locally-sourced gifts and decorative items for the holiday season will be able to enjoy the market in person and support our local small businesses," said Deanna Chakarova, the City’s community and market coordinator. "We have had great success with our regular farmers market and attendees can be assured that we are set up with health and safety protocols in place, such as physical distancing and ensuring that all vendors participating have been fully vaccinated."
The market will run for six weeks.
Meanwhile, the St. Catharines Farmers Market will continue to run Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., as well as Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Those attending the farmers market or Winter at the Market will need to wear a face mask to enter.
