Welland's cooling centre will be open later the next time there is a heat warning in effect.
You will be able to cool off at the Transit Terminal on East Main Street from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Staff will recommend the use of face masks and the bathrooms will be open to the public.
Environment Canada issues a heat warning whenever we have daytime highs over 31 degrees and nighttime lows over 20 degrees for more than two consecutive days.
