Local lottery winner says he plans to donate some of his winnings to charity.
A man from Welland has won over $79,000!
Michael Jurich has taken home $79,511.60 with the OLG's POOLS game.
The 36 year old says he's a regular POOLS player and decided to go for the big prize.
"I went for the longshot! I was so excited to check my winnings the next morning!" he shared. "It was an overwhelming and exciting feeling."
Jurich says he plans to donate some of the money to charity, buy a sports jersey and save the rest.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shell on East Main Street in Welland.
