Welland businesses and homeowners will not have to worry about their water/wastewater rates going up.
The City has decided to defer the retail rate increases until July 1st.
They would usually come into effect for the April, May and June billings.
The City has also announced changes to public transit.
Starting tomorrow, Welland Transit will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week on Community Bus Routes.
Niagara Region Transit will also operate on an hourly frequency Monday to Friday.
The Port Colborne Community routes will run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday starting next week.
