Welland Fire and Emergency Services does not endorse a specific brand of fire safety products.
The department has issued a warning on its social media pages.
It says some companies in the Niagara Region have claimed to have a working relationship with the department, but that is not true.

The product could be overpriced or possibly even unnecessary.
