Niagara College's Class of 2021 will graduate on a high note, thanks to a Juno-award winning musician.
Sarah Blackwood of the band Walk Off the Earth will be the honourary speaker at the school's upcoming virtual convocation ceremony.
Nearly 4,000 graduates will also see the musician receive an honourary diploma.
Niagara College President Sean Kennedy says the college is looking to provide an exceptional graduation ceremony after what has been a stressful year for many students.
"We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Blackwood as our guest speaker, knowing that her extraordinary voice of inspiration will surely strike a chord with our graduates and their families. While we are unable to gather in person, we believe it is vital to continue the tradition of honouring our graduates before they embark on the next chapter of their lives, and we look forward to hosting what will truly be an event to remember."
The school will also reach a historic milestone this year - its 100,000th graduate.
