It was a long weekend of escalating cases of COVID-19, as well as record high intensive care admissions.
Niagara Public Health reported a total of 309 cases over the three days of the holiday weekend.
Provincial health officials reporting over 6,000 cases combined on Friday and Saturday.
Ontario officials also noting, as of Saturday, there were close to 800 people in hospital with the virus, 451 of them were in intensive care, a pandemic high, and more than 260 of those patients are breathing with the help of a ventilator.
Sunday's numbers are expected to be released today.
