No changes across Niagara yesterday with voters giving the nod to all the incumbents in the region's four ridings.
In Niagara Falls, the NDP's Wayne Gates returns to Queen's Park, New Democrat Jennie Stevens is back in in St. Catharines, NDP Jeff Burch in Niagara Centre and the lone Conservative, Sam Oosterhoff, will once again represent residents in Niagara West.
It was a night of celebration for the Ford Tories, who won a landslide victory.
Ford telling supporters "This is my proudest achievement as a leader of this party, building a new coalition, expanding our base, creating a more inclusive party where everyone matters, because never in our lifetime has it been more important for a party to represent all of Ontario."
But there were tears from two of the other party leaders who announced they are stepping down.
The Liberal's Steven Del Duca announcing he was leaving the post after he failed to win a seat in his Vaughn riding and the party failed to take enough seats to regain party status.
Also saying a tearful goodbye after 13 years as party leader, the NDP's Andrea Horwath.
Horwath telling her supporters it was time to pass the torch.
She was re-elected in her Hamilton riding and the party is once again the official opposition.
Meantime, Green Party leader Mike Shreiner will keep his seat in Guelph.
