Both suspects in custody
Two arrests have been made after a dangerous driving incident in Fort Erie.
Yesterday, police in Durham spotted a black Ford Mustang believed to be associated with a pair of wanted individuals.
On May 4th, the same vehicle was spotted by police on Garrison Road near Kraft Road in Fort Erie.
The vehicle jumped over a parking curb, then went over a hill and a sidewalk as it escaped from police.
Colin Todd, 38, of Port Perry has been charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
- Flight from a peace officer
- Obstruct peace officer
Zeanka Havtur, 29, of no fixed address, faces the following charges:
- Break enter and commit
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Possession of stolen property over $5000
- Fail to comply with release order (3 counts)
Havtur was wanted for break and enter prior to the incident in Fort Erie.
Todd will attend a bail hearing in Niagara later today, while Havtur remains in the custody of the Durham Regional Police Service.
