Marineland says belugas died from torsion — or twisting of the stomach — after 'valiant medical efforts'
Two more beluga whales have died this month at Marineland.
The Ministry of the Solicitor General has not said how they have died, but the tourist attraction confirmed the whales died of an abnormal twisting of the stomach. Adding that all of its whales are under constant weekly supervision and oversight by a government regulator and are cared for daily by in-house vets.
According to Canadian Press, there have been 17 whale deaths at the park since 2019. Sixteen beluga whales and one killer whale.
