Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has responded following an ad accusing him of failing to restrict travel into Ontario.
The ad was issued by the Ontario Progressive Conservative party.
Trudeau says the province shouldn't be finger pointing as the third wave of the virus continues.
He says Ottawa is willing to work with Ontario on further border restrictions, but claims Premier Doug Ford hasn't responded on a request for tighter rules last week.
The Prime Minister says he offered to impose tighter controls on temporary foreign workers and international students, noting the province has approved the arrival of 30,000 international students last month.
