Cost of living relief details coming later today from Liberal caucus retreat in New Brunswick
There may be some relief in sight for Canadians struggling with sky-high inflation
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to release full details later today on cost-of-living relief for those with low or modest incomes.
The plan is expected to include a doubling of G-S-T rebate cheques for six months, an expanding housing allowance payment and a temporary dental-care benefit for some families with young children.
All three are initiatives the NDP have been asking for since the spring.
The dental-care and housing benefit also help the Liberals fulfil their promise to the NDP as part of their confidence agreement reached last March.
