Child drowns while swimming at Turkey Point
OPP say the search for a missing 8 year old boy has ended in tragedy.
In an update on Twitter, OPP say the boy went missing while swimming at Turkey Point on Saturday with family members.
Yesterday afternoon, the child's body was found about 200 metres from the shore near Cedar Drive.
OPP Constable Ed Sanchuk says the child was on a raft and hopped off to swim back to shore, when family members lost sight of him and contacted police.
