While the COVID cases keep falling across the province, the two regions asking the government to err on the side of caution.
Yesterday, the province reported 847 new infections, the lowest daily count since October of last year
But despite the drop both the city of Toronto and Peel Region are asking the Premier to postpone opening them back up.
The two areas are both want to keep the current strict lockdown measures in place for an additional two weeks until March 9th.
Toronto's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Eileen de Villa says she has never been as worried about the future as she is today, fearing a third wave, fueled by new variants, if the province opens too quickly
