Pfizer, Astra-Zeneca and Moderna given new names.
Health Canada has announced several well-known COVID-19 vaccines have been given new names.
The Pfizer-BioNTech shot will now be called Comirnaty, which combines the terms COVID-19, mRNA, community and immunity.
Moderna has been dubbed as SpikeVax, and the AstaZeneca vaccine will be called Vaxzevria.
Health Canada says while the names are changing, the vaccines are not.
Both the U.S. and the E.U. are using the new names for promotional purposes.
