The board is spending $3 million to bring synthetic tracks and turf fields to Eden, Laura Secord and Eastdale secondary schools
Three local schools are getting new synthetic tracks and turf fields.
The DSBN says the fields will be installed at Eastdale, Laura Secord and Eden secondary schools.
The schools will also get new bleachers and lighting.
The board says about $3 million has been set aside for each of the projects.
Synthetic tracks and turf fields are more accessible to special needs students and can be used earlier in the spring and later in the fall.
It's not known yet when the fields will be installed at the schools.
