Ontario's top doctor hinting he wants schools to reopen
Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health says it's time to reopen schools, at least in regions with low COVID -19 case counts.
Doctor David Williams says he would like to see students return to their classrooms before the province enters Step One of its reopening plan in mid-June.
Williams adding " We're confident that we can be supportive of making sure the schools are safe for everyone, including students and teachers and other staff working there,"
Yesterday, group of researchers penned a letter to the Premier urging him to reopen schools warning we are on the cusp of a generational catastrophe fearing children's mental health is at risk.
Dr. Williams says there will be an announcement soon.
