Police say the Nissan had been stolen earlier in the day from Fort Erie
An 18-year old from Fort Erie has been charged with theft after a vehicle rollover in Port Colborne.
Police were called at around the noon hour on Monday to the Killaly and Elizabeth Street area, to find a white Nissan in the ditch.
The lone male driver had already left the scene, having hitched a ride from a passerby.
Police add the Nissan, considerably damaged, had been stolen from Fort Erie earlier that morning.
Police identified the suspect, and around 5 that afternoon arrested Braedon Lorne Erikson in the Garrison Road and Central Avenue area of Fort Erie.
He had a bail hearing yesterday.
