Local volunteers will plant 60 native trees at Firemen's Park in Niagara Falls. The City will be hosting a TD Green Space Tree Planting event this Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Volunteers will also plant 500 wildflowers, to create a new pollinator garden.
This event would not be possible without a $25,000 grant from TD and the Arbor Day Foundation.
The City used most of the funding to plant native trees at six different parks across the Honeymoon Capital. The remaining cash will be used for the planting event in Firemen's Park.
