The ministry notes anglers should still carry an ID card issued by the province or federal government, showing a name and birth date. Anglers are also required to follow all relevant conservation and catch limit restrictions.
In a news release, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources noted fishing season is underway for species like yellow perch, common carp, northern pike, lake trout and walleye.
