Homicide Unit investigating
Police are looking into the death of an inmate at the Niagara Detention Centre.
Authorities say on Saturday, June 10th, they were called to the centre around 6:30 a.m.
When emergency crews arrived, a 52 year old man was found without vital signs.
First aid and CPR were administered, but he was pronounced dead.
Police say the death is considered suspicious, and the Niagara Regional Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
Officers also say there is no evidence to suggest the public is at risk.
