Biggest job market gains were in part-time work
Statistics Canada says 41,000 jobs were added throughout the country last month, with all the gains coming in part-time work.
For the fifth month in a row, the unemployment rate stayed at five percent.
April's job gains were led by the wholesale and retail trade industry.
The biggest losses occurred in business, building and other support services.
Meanwhile, full-time employment remained unchanged.
