It looks like the Private Alexander Watson statue in front of St. Catharines City Hall will be moved to a new location.
City staff will develop a relocation plan for the monument but they will have to consult with the Anti-Racism Advisory Committee, the Historical Society of St. Catharines and other organizations beforehand.
They will also have to speak with Watson's family descendants.
Watson died in 1885 while fighting for a Canadian Government during the North-West Rebellion.
