A man from St. Catharines has two million reasons to celebrate!
Christopher Winterbottom of St. Catharines is $2 million richer, thanks to Ontario 49.
The OLG says 37 year old single father won the top prize in the October 6th Ontario 49 draw.
He says at first, he thought he won $2,000.
"When I realized I won $2 million I was kind of taken aback! I’m pretty sure you could have seen my heart pounding out of my chest."
Winterbottom says he plans to donate some to the cancer centre and buy new shoes for his son's basketball team.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shell Food Mart on Schmon Parkway in Thorold.
