Council will return to in-person meetings in September.
St. Catharines Mayor Walter Sendzik, along with City Council, says all council members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As a result, council will return to in-person meetings next month.
"As a Council, we felt it was important to do this now to reinforce the importance of getting vaccinated and to assure residents that we are continuing to work together for the residents and taxpayers of St. Catharines," Sendzik notes. "Like so many families, students and businesses, we are also getting ready to return to the council chambers in September and this is an important step in that process."
The Mayor's office says they're working with public health officials and other Niagara municipalities on a vaccination policy that focuses on health and safety.
