Search warrant seizes weapons, as well as narcotics with an estimated street value of over $600,000.
A St. Catharines man is facing several weapon and drug charges.
Earlier this month, police began an investigation into a suspect reported to be in possession of numerous firearms at a residence near Church Street and Court Street.
The suspect was arrested during a traffic stop on February 10th, and officers discovered ammunition and drugs.
On February 16th, a search warrant was executed on the property.
Items seized include $12,000 Canadian cash, a Winchester Model 94 30/30 lever action rifle, a sawed-off Lakefield Model 64 semi-automatic, .22 caliber rifle, and 30 rounds of .22 caliber rim-fire ammunition.
Officers also discovered crystal meth, MDMA, fentanyl powder, fentanyl pressed pills, cocaine, dilaudid 8mg pills, and oxycodone pills, with a combined estimated street value of more than $600,000.
Facing charges is 69 year old Robert William Buchanan of St. Catharines.
Buchanan is scheduled to appear in court on February 23rd.
