A 61-year-old man had to be taken to hospital with a serious injury after an assault in St. Catharines.
Police say he was struck with a weapon in the James Street and St. Paul Street area at around 10:00 a.m. yesterday morning.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault.
