Charges have been laid after someone broke into a St. Catharines home while the family was sleeping.
Police say it happened in the Logan Street and Scott Street area early Friday morning.
One of the family members woke up to find a man in their home stealing their belongings.
The man threatened that he had a gun but did not show one.
He fled the scene and no one was hurt.
Police were able to track down their suspect two days later after someone used a stolen debit card at a convenience store in the Geneva Street and Queenston Street area.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested and officers were able to recover the stolen property at his home.
He has been charged with break, enter, and commit robbery and use of credit card within Canada.
