A rainfall warning is in effect for Niagara.
Environment Canada has upgraded the special weather statement for southern Niagara to a rainfall warning for both southern and northern Niagara.
About 40 to 60 mm of rain is expected between now and tomorrow morning, but some areas could see around 75 mm.
The heaviest rain is expected tonight into Saturday.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads, and flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
You'll want to keep an umbrella handy if you live in the southern Niagara area.
Environment Canada is calling for significant rainfall now through tomorrow morning.
About 30 to 50 mm of rainfall is expected in areas such as Fort Erie, Welland and Niagara Falls.
The showers are expected to end early tomorrow afternoon.
North Niagara is also expected to get rain tonight, but isn't under a special weather statement.
