Social media posts circulating in Niagara Falls regarding a man taking pictures or video of children has been proven unfounded by Niagara Regional Police.
Last month, police were dispatched to Preakness Park in Niagara Falls in regards to a suspicious person.
Initial information indicated that there was a male at the park taking pictures and video of children.
NRP that attended the park observed a male matching the description provided and approached him.
Officers were able to determine through investigation he was on the phone and had not taken any photos or videos.
NRP are aware of comments circulating online in relation to this incident and believe these claims to be false.
