Another effort by fire fighters to make sure there are working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in every home.
Wainfleet Fire department announced a partnership today with Enbridge Gas and the Fire Marshall's Public Fire Safety Council, to bring fire and carbon monoxide deaths to zero.
The Wainfleet detachment has received 126 alarms through Safe Community Project Zero, meant to provide alarms across Ontario.
This year, Enbridge has invested over $450,000.
Ontario Fire Marshall Jon Pegg says each day fire departments focus on educating people about the importance of working alarms in the home.
