Niagara Region Public Health has listed six beaches as unsafe for swimming.
Waverly Beach in Fort Eric and Reebs Bay in Wainfleet have both been flagged due to algae.
In Grimsby, Nelles Beach has been posted for safety issues.
In addition, three beaches have been flagged due to E.coli: Casablanca Beach in Grimsby, Queens Royal Beach in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Sherkston Quarry Beach in Port Colborne.
