Woman died of overdose in jail cell
The Special Investigations Unit isn't laying any charges following the death of a Niagara woman.
On May 21st, a 24 year old woman died of a drug overdose inside a jail cell.
The woman had been arrested the day before near the area of Kitchener Street and Slater Avenue in Niagara Falls, and was charged with breaching conditions.
The SIU says there is no basis for proceeding with criminal charges, and the file has been closed.
