Police, EMS and Fire were called to the canal early Saturday afternoon after a diver became trapped under the ice.
Police say two men in their 20’s were scuba diving together when they became separated.
One diver ended up trapped the other surfaced and flagged down a passerby who called 911.
Firefighters managed to free the diver and bring him to shore but efforts to revive him failed.
