Niagara residents might be able to vote for our next Regional Chair.
Councillor Laura Ip is going to bring a motion forward Thursday night, to start holding a direct election for the Regional Chair position.
It would come into effect for the 2022 municipal election, so Regional Chair Jim Bradley would be able to finish his term if council decides to vote in favour.
His fellow council members appointed him to the Regional Chair position back in December 2018.
