The Region has filed an $850,000 lawsuit against former Regional Chair Alan Caslin, former policy director Robert D'Amboise and former Communications Director Jason Tamming.
The St. Catharines Standard says they're being sued over allegations of conspiracy, related to the hiring of former CAO Carmen D'Angelo back in 2016.
When you break down the numbers; Caslin is being sued for $500,000, D'Amboise for $250,000 and Tamming for $100,000.
The statement of claim was filed yesterday.
Niagara Falls Regional Councillor Peter Nicholson made a motion to withdraw the lawsuit last night.
In a post on Twitter, Standard reporter Bill Sawchuk says was it was defeated 24-1.
