Rainfall warning ends for Niagara.
Environment Canada has called off the rainfall warning that was in effect for the region.
However, a winter weather travel advisory remains in effect for South Niagara, including Niagara Falls and Welland.
The area may see freezing rain mixed with ice pellets this afternoon and early evening, before the rain transitions to snow.
Heavy snow is expected at times beginning this evening through tomorrow morning, with 10 to 15 cm anticipated.
Meanwhile, a snowfall warning remains in place for North Niagara, including St. Catharines and Grimsby.
About 10 to 20 cm is anticipated by tomorrow morning.
Drivers can expect icy surfaces and near zero visibility at times.
