Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy will table the Ford Government's 2023 budget in Queen's Park this afternoon.
ONTARIO - It's budget day in Queen's Park.
The Ford Government will unveil the budget for 2023 today. Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy will officially table the financial plan in the Ontario Legislature at around 4:05 p.m.
He has stated that this budget will show more restraint after years of big spending due to the pandemic, but it will not have any program cuts. Bethlenfalvy has also gone on record saying this budget will include a plan to attract jobs and build infrastructure.
The Ford Government unveiled a new manufacturing tax credit yesterday and announced funding in order to build and upgrade skills training centres.
Ontario's fall economic update included a deficit projection of $8.1-billion, but that number dropped to $6.5-billion in the third quarter finances released last month.
