The Worker Income Protection Benefit will be extended to the end of July of 2022.
The program, which launched in April, requires employers to provide all their employees with up to three paid days off for a range of reasons related to the pandemic.
This is the second time the Ford government has extended the program.
It was originally set to expire in September, but the government extended it till the end of 2021.
