Ontario government drops mandatory isolation period for individuals with COVID-19.
The province has dropped the mandatory five-day isolation rule for people who test positive for COVID-19.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore told reporters today that anyone who feels sick should isolate while they have symptoms and return to work or school 24 hours after symptoms end.
Moore also recommended wearing masks in public about 10 days after an individual ends their voluntary isolation period, but they won't be required to do so.
Under the temporary pandemic program, Ontarians are covered for three paid sick days.
The program is currently set to expire in March 2023, and there is no word yet if it will be extended or made permanent.
