NACI recommending booster shots for certain groups, including those 70 and older.
Health Minister Christine Elliott tweeting out the province will release details next week on when more Ontarians can expect to get a booster COVID-19 shot.
This comes after the National Advisory Committee on Immunizations updated eligibility guidelines on who should get a third shot.
The NACI is now recommending a third dose to people 70 and older, those who received two Astra Zeneca shots, frontline healthcare workers, and adults in First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities.
The committee advises the third doses be given six months after the first two are received.
The latest recommendation suggests booster shots could help restore protection against the virus in certain populations.
