Province Invests at Plowing Match

Infrastructure Minister investing more money into roads, bridges and water systems province-wide

A funding announcement this morning at the International Plowing Match in Grassie by the provincial government.

Infrastructure Minister Kinga Surma was there, saying the province is investing $400-million to help renew and rehabilitate critical infrastructure in small, rural and northern communities.

It's part of an overall $200-billion plan for key infrastructure, amid American tariffs.

She adds next year 423 communities will receive money for roads, bridges, water and wastewater systems.

And, the minimum amount a municipality can get has been raised from $25,000 last year, to $125,000.
